SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES
Department of Science and humanities consists of dedicated staff members. Science and Humanities plays a vital role in bringing out the students’ total personality to impart and enhance the advance knowledge & skills and prepares them to meet the growing challenges of the industry and diverse societal needs of our nation.
Physics lab:
To offer wide range of knowledge in the field of physics, our physics laboratory has the equipments like, Ultrasonic interferometer, Band bag determination kit and Fiber optic kit which will give innovative exposure to the engineering students.
Chemistry lab:
Chemistry lab has UV Spectro Photometer, Digital connectivity meter, Digital Potentiometer, DO analyzer and PH meter to offer effective solution to the industries, to address rural needs through research and eco friendly solutions and to carry out fundamental and applied research in surface chemistry, coordination chemistry, corrosion chemistry, electro chemistry and water treatment.
Engineering practices lab:
Engineering Practices Laboratory was established in the year 2001 with 10,000 Sq.ft areas consisting of fitting, carpentry, welding, smithy, foundry and sheet metal sections where fabrications are made in all sections. Separate carpentry and welding sections enable the students to get the hands on experience about carpentry and welding process. A modern welding booth with exhaust facility is available to develop the practical skills of the students.
Association
The Department has framed an Association ‘SHINE’ (Science and Humanities Innovators of Nandha Engineering). A plenty of events such as Paper Presentation, Quiz Program, Science Exhibition, Displays, Debates, Essay Writing, Oratory, Skit, Mime, Ads up, Dumb Charades, Singing and Dance Competitions are being conducted to enhance the academic and non-academic skills of the students.
