VISIONTo strive to create an insurmountable students in all set for taking 'lead-role' in grooming the younger generation socially responsible and professionally competent to face the challenges ahead. To achieve a global identity through the innovative methods and strenuous efforts and to produce engineering professional well versed in applied electronics to meet the ever growing needs of industries. MISSIONTo incorporate benchmarked teaching and learning pedagogies in curriculum. To ensure all round development of students through judicious blend of curricular, co curricular and extra curricular activities. To support cross-cultural exchange of knowledge between industry and academy. To provide higher/continued education and research opportunities to faculty as well as staff members. Course and CurriculumThe post graduate 2 year M.E. degree program is on a semester pattern. The Department offers instruction in subjects relating to Applied Electronics and promotes research activities in related areas, collaborating with industries, wherever possible. The Department has softwares to cater to the needs of students projects and R&D activities. Electronic systems have made deep inroads into every aspect of daily life. One need only look around homes, offices & industrial plants to see that they feature almost everywhere. Indeed, it is practically impossible to name any appliances, tools or instruments that do not contain electronic components. In order to compete with rival companies or just remain a step ahead of them, the designers of technical systems & innovative products must be fully aware of both the usage & the limitations of electronic components & systems. Modern teaching aids are used for enhancing the quality of teaching. Computer aided software packages with multiple choice questions are used by the student for self- study and evaluation. The students are exposed to the practical and industrial aspects of the subjects through laboratory works and periodic industrial visits. The students are encouraged to participate and present technical papers in National and state level seminars. APPLIED ELECTRONICS LABORATORYThis lab is set-up to give the students an idea of the various electronic devices such as p-n junction diode, zener diode, bipolar junction transistors, FET’s etc. In this lab, they learn to analyze all the devices by using them as a circuit element. The main purpose of this lab is to provide the students a clear understanding and intuitive feeling of the behavior and characteristics of all the semiconductor and electronic devices, which would not be possible through theory. In Applied Electronics Lab, students learn the essential basics of Electronic Engineering with a hands-on approach. Each student has his/her own electronic kit on which to perform the experiments. The Department has well-equipped laboratories with modern and latest equipments like PIC microcontroller , dsp processor , 16 bit microprocessor ,FPGA Kits, Embedded Processor Kits and Software like Xilinx, Keil. Applied Electronics lab is well equipped at a cost of Rs.10 Lakhs. This laboratory has an excellent collection of all basic components in available ranges for conducting practical classes. FacultyFor the faculty in Department of applied electronics, teaching is more passionate than profession. Our ultimate aim is, not only to create well educated students but also to train them to acquire awareness about the changing world of scenario in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Department has a strong team of faculty members who are well-qualified and experienced in the area of VLSI, DSP, Embedded System and related software and hardware tools. Member in Professional AffiliationAll the faculties of this Department are the members of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the activities from ISTE are conducted for outgoing students Collaboration with IndustriesMoU signed with VI Microsystems for knowledge sharing and simulation using software. |
